The "Rockin' Out" Wilson's!!!!

I'll post pictures soon...but we are CRAZY in love with our Wii! We just got Wii Rock Band- and the boys are on guitar, vocals, and Kev on guitar. They are simply adorable! It's a fun morning activity before I head to work. I love music, and to hear Gavin humming the theme to Indiana Jones, Ian sitting on him drum stool (yes,...Ian has a drum set!!!) and Kevin playing a FENDER guitar (he loves it even if it is Wii) maybe someday he'll get that Fender he's always wanted? It's pretty cute. We didn't even know they made if for Wii, but we went shopping on our anniversary before we went to Cinetopia and saw "The Happening"-awesome, gruesome, and truly scary!!! and we saw it at Best Buy. A coincidence....but we are loving it!!!:) Maybe you can hear us at your house?

I was nervous, anxious, and in oblivious to what was going to happen to me. I married Kevin 13 years ago today, and wow...how things have changed. I was 19, and thought I knew what the world was like, and boy...I was ready to conquer. And to be quite honest...conquer..we did! We haven't had it easy...5 years + in the Navy...6 moves between Virginia and Maryland, schooling, a 6-month tour, new cities, new grocery stores (thats been a constant problem for me!:), new friends...holidays both alone and together...and without our parents, brothers, and closest friends around us. It was hard...it was some of the most difficult times in my life, but also we grew. We grew in so many ways, and thankfully we grew together. Thirteen years later, I know I made the right choice to marry you Kev-and look how far we've come! Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Quite the day...

Today was a LONG day. I worked until 12:30am and then woke up to head to the Children's Fair at Salmon Creek Hospital. It dawned on me today...that I know people. I also felt so good waking up and being there for something I am passionate about...children's safety. I spent 3 hours in the morning checking car seats...and then went to check with my friends (and 10 U of P students) that I had coordinated working with for the helmet fair. I then bounced over to visit my friends at Pediatric Rehab...I've gotten to know all of them because of the boys..and we share a mutual passion...KIDS! and then met up with my boss who was making finger casts with a few of the U of P students. Then finished up the day at the car seat clinic, met up with my mother in law, and she brought the boys to the fair-they had an absolute blast! And then we all had a late lunch. It was a great end to a great day. It was less crowded than last year..though we know early on we had well over 600 children-and with Vancouver's new helmet law (ALL adults and children must wear a helmet within city limits or face a $50 fine) I know TONS of helmets walked out of there today. It feels good..to know good people who are all working towards a goal no matter how unattainable it seems sometimes....just knowing we are out with the community educating them on safety feels good...even if they can't apply all of it. I usually think of myself as someone who just goes to work and does my job...but on a day like today...where I knew just about everyone there, it felt awesome, comfortable, and fun!:)

Our Preschool Graduate-

Gavin is finished! He is SO ready for Kindergarten...I don't think he realizes that he has the entire summer off. Everyday he asks if he has school tomorrow?! It's pretty cute! Ian is also counting down...5 days left for him...then he is graduating Kindergarten. I just can't believe how fast they are growing up! It is just amazing.

The Season is over....

Well...our first of MANY, I do believe, baseball season's is officially over! Ian grew by leaps and bounds throughout the season. He started off hiding behind Kevin...by the last 5 games..he had decided he had a "favorite" position, and wasn't shy about asking to play it. He's our little catcher, and he started off not knowing anything about the game, and in the end...he was really catching on. He got his trophy yesterday ,and was excited about it! And though getting him to go was sometimes a struggle, I am so happy to see his growth emotionally and socially!:) His coach is what made it all worthwhile..and he said he's coming back next year...and would like the same kids...so I am pretty sure we are in this for awhile!:) And hey, did you hear, 4000 ft snow level by Thursday...my little skiier is already ready! He can't wait to get up there, how strange, he finished t-ball, and now he's going skiing again? PLAY BALL!!!
