I'M DONE!

I can officially say now...that I am done with shopping, though I am still waiting for a few things in the mail to come...but if they don't arrive..oh, well! Now for ALL that wrapping! And I have to be so secretive. The boys are watching my every move!

I'll post pictures later, but last week Ian had his first performance that he actually participated in! It was great! He was mid center, and sang his little heart out! I got tears in my eyes knowing what it has taken to get Ian here. All the speech therapy, occupational therapy, and countless frustrating moments with a child that has an auditory processing problem! He made me so proud...and he was ofcourse THE CUTEST little boy up there!!!!

Also, please continue prayers for our friends, and you can check Corey's blog at the end of mine. Our friends will be returning from meeting with specialists in NY tomorrow and will return to their home in California. There news is cautious, but they have had ups and downs. We are so happy that Corey has no cancer in his spine, and it is an isolated relapse to his lungs. Please pray for strength for Debbie and Travis, and for healing for Corey. I'll keep you updated! Keep the prayers coming!!!!

This forward from my Father-in-Law...got me thinking.....

Twas the month before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.
Why the Politically Correct Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a " Holiday ".
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit.
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod.
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday !

Our Christmas Prayer-

Most of you know that we met a family on our Disney cruise more than 2 years ago. The Zdrazils. We have kept in touch with them since our vacation. Their son Corey was diagnosed with a Wilm's tumor on his first birthday, January 1, 2006. He went into remission, and then Fall of 2006, his cancer came back. This little boy is a fighter. Two rounds of chemo, a port insertion and removal, learning to walk again....many stuggles he just kept on pushing through. We visited them during our Disney Vacation in March of this year and Corey had just finished treatment. He has had a clear MRI, and spent the summer vacationing with his family. Make a wish foundation visited them, and with a little help from his older brother Nikolas, Corey wished for a Disney Cruise. The Zdrazils asked us to join them this upcoming January for another vacation, but due to our Mexico plans, financially it just wasn't possible....but we seriously considered it. Last week, a spot was found on Corey's lung, and Travis and Debbie our friends are waiting for an answer, and praying that it is something, anything, nothing....

Please join us, and pray for their family. Thank you! You may connect to Corey's website at the end of my blog to see his "whole" story.

Happy Birthday Heather!

So...this is 2 days late...but HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!!! Heather is a blessing to our whole family. She is kind, thoughtful, caring, and helpful. She is a true compliment to my brother. My boys absolutely ADORE her. Her soft voice, peaceful movements, are completely opposite of my own. God didn't give me a sister, but I have 2 sister-in-laws that don't have sisters either...so I think it works out nicely for all of us! Heather is the first person to volunteer to help me with my boys anytime, and I so appreciate her willingness to help. She brings a gentle spirit, and a fresh outlook whenever we get together. Not to mention her extreme talent for home decorating! I recently painted one wall yellow in my kitchen...something I would not have EVER attempted without Heather's encouragement. When I finished painting, Kevin had a few questions, and said.."did you ask Heather about this!?" It was really cute! And of course she is a wonderful, supportive wife to my brother ( I lived with him for 19 years...I know what that's like!) and an outstanding Mother to little B. Heather, I hope you had a wonderful day! I feel blessed to have you as part of my life.
